Marquise Goodwin, an American football player, plays wide receiver and kick returner for Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League. Marquise Goodwin’s net worth was estimated at $10 million as of 2020.
Goodwin was born in Lubbock on November 19, 1990. Goodwin attended Rowlett High School, Texas, where he competed in track and field as well as football. Goodwin played college football at Texas at Austin. He played in 11 matches at Texas and had 31 receptions for 324 yard and one touchdown. He had 33 receptions for 421 yard and two touchdowns in his 2011 season. Godwin’s final season saw 26 receptions, totaling 340 yards and three touchdowns. Goodwin was also a participant in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
The Buffalo Bills selected Marquise Goodwin in the third round 2013 NFL Draft. He signed a four year contract with the Bills. He had 29 receptions, 431 yards and three touchdowns in his first season.
Goodwin signed a 2-year contract with San Francisco 49ers on March 9, 2017. Goodwin finished his first season in San Francisco with 56 catches, 962 yards, and two touchdowns. He signed a $20.3 million, three-year contract extension with the 49ers in 2018, which means he will continue to play with them until 2021.
Goodwin ended the 2019 season with 12 receptions, 186 yards, and a touchdown. His team reached the Super Bowl LIV but Goodwin lost 31-20 to Kansas City Chiefs. Godwin was traded to Philadelphia Eagles on April 25, 2020. He announced on July 28, 2020 that he would be retiring from the 2020 season because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, he plans to spend more time with his family.
In his private life, he is married Morgan Goodwin-Snow. Their daughter Maree was born on February 19, 2020.
