Boonk was a Popeye’s Chicken employee before he entered the rapping world. Boonk began using social media and started writing his own music. His Instagram account reached a staggering 5 million followers at one time, but was later deleted for its explicit content. John also had a YouTube channel, where he posted stunts, jokes, and challenges.
Boonk listened and admired rappers such as Tee Grizzley (Trippie Redd), YFN Lucci (YFN Lucci), and Black Youngsta. His debut EP, “Atypical Latin Groove”, was released in October 2009. It included songs such as Good Morning Gabbana and De la Isla. His hit single “Muttin” was also included in the EP. It has been viewed more than 4 million times on YouTube.
In September 2018, John Gabbana changed his name to John Gabbana from Boonk Gang. He also released songs such as “Weird Ass N!ggas”, “Either Way It Go” in the same year. His second EP, “The John Gabbana”, was released on September 17, 2018. His next EP, “The John Gabbana”, was released September 17, 2018. It features songs such as “Does the he do Music or Sumn?” and “Fading Away”.
John was arrested once for stealing a tray full of Dunking Donuts glazed donuts. He was sentenced for two weeks in prison.
